Det har varit en stor fanboydiskussion på nätet kring den här filmen och det mesta av fokuset har hamnat på valet av McG som regissör. Han är ju inte direkt känd för att vara kung bland regissörer men av trailern att döma så ser det inte så illa ut som man skulle kunna tro. Ett stort plus med filmen är att Christian Bale är med och efter monstersuccén Dark Knight så har han galet mycket credd.

Alfredssons film har vunnit en drös olika priser på filmfestivaler runt om i världen och segertåget lär fortsätta. Filmen var helt okej men tyvärr inte så läskig som man kan tro. Möjligheterna fanns verkligen att göra en svensk rysarklassiker men det hettade aldrig riktigt till. Kan dock säga att slutet på filmen är värd biljettpriset och likaså rollprestationen av tjejen som spelar vampyren. Gillar ni den här filmen så missa inte japanska Dark Water.
